To meet the demand in the
real estate sector the development is now shifting to the border of the
cities as the land inside has been completely exhausted. This leaves no
solution for the investors but to look for other options around.
The same applies to Chandigarh. The development is shifting out of
Chandigarh towards places like Baddi, Dera Bassi and Zirakpur. Both
local and national developers are establishing their projects on the
border in the suburban areas. The property rates vary from builder to builder
depending upon the facilities and amenities provided by them.
BADDI is a fast growing industrial town of Himachal Pradesh. The
town lies on the border of Himachal Pradesh and Haryana states in
the Shivalik Hills, around 35 kilometres west of Solan. The
town of Baddi is home to some of the top industries like Nicolas Piramal,
Bajaj Consumer Care, Ranbaxy, Dr. REDDY’S Lab, Torrent Pharmaceuticals, TVS
Motors, Colgate Palmolive, Dabur India, Cipla, Cadbury’s, Wipro, Wockhardt,
Procter & Gamble, Marc Enterprises etc because of tax concessions being offered
by the Central and State governments. Moreover, the Baddi Barotiwala
industrial corridor is emerging as one of the biggest Pharma hubs of Asia. The
new industrial set up would also provide employment to over thousands of people
and generate economic well being for the entire town and state.
