Outer Ring Road is a
road that runs around most of the border of Bangalore, India. This 62 km
long road was developed by the Bangalore Development Authority and
different sections were opened gradually between 1994 and 2002.
This road connects all major
highways approximately the city - Bellary Road (NH 7), Old Madras Road (NH
4), Tumkur Road (NH 4), Hosur Road (NH 7), Bannerghatta Road, Mysore Road
(SH-17), Kanakapura Road (NH 209) and Magadi Road. It passes through
major suburbs such as Hebbal, Banaswadi, Krishnarajapuram, Marathahalli,
Madiwala, BTM Layout, JP Nagar, Banashankari, Kengeri, Bangalore University,
Nagarbhavi, Nandini Layout and Gokula.
The three major zones
are-Electronic City on the south, Whitefield-ITPL area to the North and the
Marathalli-Outer Ring Road on the Western side forming a triangle. Outer Ring
Road is one of the premium residential areas in Bangalore, leading with Real
Estate Developer like Embassy Group and others. This area caters various
residential needs via array of apartments at affordable and luxurious prices as
well.
